Jack Lynch Memorial Classic - 2004
The 2004 Jack Lynch Memorial Golf Classic was our most successful ever. For the first year the event was extended to eight days to incorporate open days of mixed foursomes, fourballs and scrambles together with the Mens, Ladies and Senior team events. With wonderful weather for most of the time over 1,080 people played.
Our guest speaker for the presentation of prizes on Sunday 18th July was Moss Keane, the well known Irish Rugby International player of the 70's and 80's. He played for the Lions, has 51 caps for Ireland and was on the winning Munster team who beat the All Blacks in Thomond Park in 1978.
Music on the night was provided by the Silver Swing Band. Also, a big thanks to Dave Long Coach Travel for providing the much needed taxi-service on what turned out to be a fantastic night.
