A great time was had by all at the Men's Christmas party on Sunday last.

A great time was had by all at the Men's Christmas party on Sunday last. There was a tremendous turnout of over 50 golfers considering the cold and wet wintry conditions but things soon warmed up after the scramble thanks to the efforts of the master of ceremonies Michael Kehily (Captain) and trio of Seamus, Marion and Declan.

Team Werner, consisting of Leo Werner, Dermot O'Flaherty and Dave O'Connor held pole position in the scramble for the entire day only to be pipped by the last card of the day by a mere 1/16 of a shot by the team of Tim Coakley, Sean Comyn, John Sheehan and Jerome O'Driscoll. Dermot O'Flaherty did however have the consolation of winning both the longest drive on the 18th and nearest the pin on the 4th (30 inches).

Pierce Hickey was looking good for a long time in the putting competition only to be denied by the last player, Geoffrey Wycherley. Special mention to Kevin O'Regan, Derry Browne and Michael Kehily for organising a very enjoyable day. Roll on the Captain's Drive-in on 1st January!
